Mike McCorkle has been working the California Coast successfully for the past 54 years. He has fished for just about every ocean creature imaginable, from sea cucumbers to sword fish. This diversification keeps Mike's 36-foot combination boat Pieface busy throughout most of the year. His second boat, a 32-foot Monterey called Theresa Ann, is used mainly for salmon trolling.

Born in Pomona, there's no one with a greater knowledge for boats than Mike. He can talk boats all day, and will, and knows background that most have long forgot. He homeports in Santa Barbara.

Mike narrates an interesting video called Plight of the Fisherman, which you can link to by clicking here . It is a work in progress, but intends, just as it is named, to call attention to the struggle fishermen face in order to stay in business.
